Coffee Shop

"Zen Coffee" is an authentic Japanese brand coffee that is only sold in Japan. Now for the first time, the company is opening its first coffee chain in Singapore.

​

The colour palette chosen for this are based on the logo and colours of the coffee bean and cup used. I also wanted to create that Zen feeling and nature vibes.

So the photos and illustration are chosen which I feel best reflect these two elements that reflects the brand identity of the "outdoor" coffee.

Nature Therapy

​

A welfare organization that runs a "forest bathing" activities in Singapore such as yoga in the park to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of the participants.

​

The organization is known for its outdoor activities and with that in mind, I wanted to emphasis on the places they take place with as little words used as possible.

The idea is to give the audience a relaxing feeling looking at these specially curated photos which suits the brand identity of the organization to entice them into joining.

Mental Health

​

A welfare organization that aims to normalise mental health conversations in Asia through community education by organising talks and sharing sessions.​​​​​​​

​

The colour theme for this is blue ​represents calmness and responsibility which reflects the brand identity of taking responsibility for your own mental health.

It is more of an informative page which aims to increase awareness of mental health so more illustrations than photos are used which best suit the theme.

Money Matters

​

A volunteer group that runs an Instagram page sharing financial tips to survive in expensive city of Singapore such as the various types of savings account.​​​​​​​ 

​

A clean, professional but casual look, which focus more on the info being shared. So more emphasis is placed on the wordings rather than the illustrations. 

Since it will feature multi-page posts, a standardised format is used so that readers can read from page to page easily as their eyes are looking at the same area.

Conclusion

​

Trying to balance between providing the right amount of information and knowing when to use photos and vector is challenging.

Having a good eye for design in selecting the right vector art, illustrations, patterns, background, fonts, colours, sizes, layouts and placements is also important.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
